The Senior Vice President of Information Technology is the top leadership role within the information technology department. This person will drive strategic planning and visioning for the department, develop plans that help each business unit and function achieve their strategic objectives, ensure efficient implementation and execution of planned initiatives, oversee the department’s budget and personnel planning, and generally oversee all areas within the information technology group. Working with the IT senior leadership team, this role will prioritize and organize resources (both human and capital) and manage all staff and operations to help drive agility, innovation, automation and speed in technology road-mapping, project prioritization and implementation while ensuring the consistent, stable, and efficient operation of the technology solutions and applications developed.

  • With strong collaboration with the company’s business units and functions, this role analyzes the needs of our internal customers while gaining an understanding of our external customers and works hand in hand with business unit leaders to develop our information technology strategies and systems requirements that meet these business objectives.
  • Oversees the strategic development of mission-critical shared services, enterprise systems, applications, technology, and network functions to support all business units at our client and works to develop current year and multi-year information technology roadmap. Ensures clear communication of project scopes, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Assesses the underlying information and technology environment within the organization making recommendations regarding how to apply best practices and innovative technology while achieving long-term scalability, reducing operational costs, better supporting business processes, and driving change management within the organization. Evaluates tools working towards “off the shelf” capabilities while understanding where customizations will be required to meet business needs.
  • Leads system solution evaluations and product due diligence analysis using industry best practice benchmarks.
  • Leads technology outsourcing activities including RFP’s, evaluating pricing and technology solutions offerings.
  • Interfaces with all levels of management, implementing processes and technology that support business value and process efficiency across business and technical functions.
  • Understands the overall corporate and business unit product roadmaps and identifies how the information technology department needs to maintain, adjust or evolve to support planned direction.
  • Develops, manages, and controls departmental expenditures against the operating expense and capital budgets.
  • Stay abreast of existing and emerging IT and industry trends and relevant business developments associated with current and new technologies.
  • Interfaces with key partners and vendors, ensuring they understand project deliverables, meet timing and cost deadlines, and collaborate with internal project stakeholders while augmenting internal team resources.
  • Understanding of both agile and waterfall methodology and work to cater industry best practices and approaches to unique organizational requirements.
  • Works to drive and implement e-commerce best practices across all platforms, digital innovation, process automation, and emerging technologies that fit business requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field.
  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in IT
  • Experience in consumer goods and/or direct selling preferred.
  • 7+ years people management experience.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, including ability to manage multiple project resources, with extensive project planning and execution skills.
