CTO – Confidential – Global Digital Trading Platform

Our client is a well-capitalized consortium of trading experts with offices globally and
headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut.

We are seeking a CTO to spearhead the final development and launch of a Digital
Trading Platform that will go live in Q4 2019.

This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned technology executive to build out a
product and engineering team. We currently have a 20+ person dedicated and
proprietary offshore development team that has created a robust MVP and we are
looking for a CTO who could manage and direct this team (with the help of the local
CTO and chief scientist) and build out the final stages and further iterations of the Digital
Trading Platform.

Responsibilities:

 Working with CEO and CIO to define an achievable product roadmap and
timeline (feature set) to market.
 Setting and managing company’s aggressive overall technology development
targets.
 Making recommendations and proposing solutions (in house, outsourced and
third party) in a fast-paced market and development environment.
 Developing and supervising product deployment and functionality with time to
market and feature set as key targets.
 Ensuring that the proper technical approach is taken organization for all
feature/future development.
 Establishing development environment, technology stack, version control,
methodology and testing policies as well as client support and integration.
 Build, Manage, and lead the US based technology team.
 Stand up Platform and maintain uptime, security and product revisions.
 Work with outside vendors and help in their selection and integration.
Requirements:
 5 years at CTO/VP level in an exchange/trading environment
 2+ years of experience in Blockchain/Digital Assets
 Substantial experience as a senior “hands on” manager (CTO/VP) running a fast-
paced environment for an industry-leading product, developing coding methods,
architecture and execution.
 Entrepreneurial DNA: Experience and comfort starting from square 1 and
selecting team, partners and vendors to achieve development and business
goals
 Must be familiar with security standards and procedures necessary when dealing
with sensitive personal financial information and regulated environments.

Requirements

 Minimum 10+ years overall experience with significant leadership expertise, 5+
as an engineer, 5+ as an engineering leader.
 Full Stack developer at some point in career.
 Understanding and experience in implementing high frequency trading in
traditional markets specifically FX/digital assets.
 Creation of high performance low latency custom FIX protocols.
 Experience building exchange ecosystems, KYC/AML, trading engine and risk
management.
 Hyperledger Fabric or Ethereum experience in building architecture in smart
contracts.
 Knowledge or understanding Solidity and/or GoLang.
 Digital exchange experience at CTO level a plus.
 Experience managing and leading a global team with cross-functional objectives
 Respect amongst peers in technology as a thought leader with the ability to
attract and develop talent, have significant business acumen.
 BS and preferably MA in Computer Science or relevant field.
 Experience building out a financial portal in a regulated environment.
 Ability to work with a diverse and distributed workforce.
 Leader and goal achiever.
